Columns & Articles: Call For Unified Communications Companies, Convergence Analysts, Mobile Web Visionaries

Author: Peggy Anne Salz

Just a quick heads-up on some projects in the pipeline.

MSG is widely respected in the industry – enjoying a top-five destination in its space (mobile search and mobile advertising) according to Technorati – so it follows that a growing number and variety of online destinations and publications have contacted me to write analysis and commentary.

(I’ve written hundreds of articles on mobile content/search/advertising. You are welcome to browse some in the Portfolio section – and the rest will be posted in the next weeks. And yes, I am about 75 articles behind at this point…)

Moving forward, I will keep you posted on all my projects here and via my Twitter feed (peggyanne) , so please check back regularly. (Thanks again to all the companies that reached out to me last time!)

Top of my list is the lead article for the upcoming Wall Street Journal Asia (special reports section) feature on convergence. Deadline September 2. My angle: It’s no longer about the convergence of platforms and devices; it’s about the erosion of barriers in our personal communications and interactions. The boundaries between us, the content we create, and the media that transport it are disappearing. We are content…

The synopsis: An update on the erosion of the barriers in communications, entertainment and computing services. What new ways of working, socializing and being entertained are emerging? Are users gaining or suffering from the transitions? How are they changing the industry?

I am interested in connecting with companies enabling this new kind of convergence, as well as companies focused on unified communications, presence and location. People who are thinking about the impact of this on our society are also welcome. (James has formally introduced me to David Cushman, so high hopes he’ll be on board. His comments on the 8th Media are a perfect fit!)

The article is timed to CEATEC, Japan’s cutting-edge IT and electronics exhibition. As always, please feel free to contact me directly (peggy@msearchgroove.com) or skype my PA Andrea Henninge (andrea_henninge) to set up a briefing.

And speaking of interviews, I’m also available for interviews and am passionate about all forms of contextual mobile content and advertising, so feel free to contact me anytime. I was interviewed this last weekend by Mobile Business for a mobile search feature, and will post a link on MSG when the piece is published.
