CTIA: AdMob To Partner With Medio On Mobile Search
News in from Peggy at CTIA. Mobile search specialists Medio and AdMob, the largest mobile ad network, today announced a partnership that will see AdMob delivering targeted mobile search ads to Medio’s mobile users. Peggy has interviews with both Medio and AdMob this week and will circle back with analysis of the deal. On the face of it, it’s a sure sign that Medio is trying to steal back some of the thunder that JumpTap grabbed with its string of customer wins and recent funding announcement.
The deal has been talked about for the last year and given that Medio and AdMob have the same investors (Accel Partners) it will come as no surprise to many that the tie up has finally been announced. For me, it will be interesting to see the impact on AdMob’s own mobile search ambitions since it offers a search service, although promotion of it has been low-key at best.
