MSG Joins Nokia, Plazes, Rummble, Taptu, The Cloud & More At Chinwag; Are Mobile Search & Location-Based Services Ready For Primetime?

Author: Peggy Anne Salz

That will be the topic that keeps all of us going for hours, I’m sure.

I’m pleased that Chinwag, a professional community and focal point for digital media practitioners in the U.K. and beyond, has reached out to me to speak at their mobile search and location-based services event on October 7.

Since the organization effectively “aggregates expertise, fact and opinion, and acts as a connecting rod for ideas and talent across the new media industries” (according to their extensive website), I am greatly looking forward to mind-melds with speakers and attendees. High on my list are mjelly (which also blogged about the event here), Ringringmedia and Beep Marketing.

If you are planning to attend, then please contact me directly, or set up an appointment with my PA Andrea Henninge (andrea@msearchgroove.com).

I will be in London until the 9th, and still have some availability in my calendar for meet-ups, catch-ups and briefings. Regular readers will know I am always open to new ideas and eager to learn more about cool companies in the mobile search, mobile advertising and social media space, so don’t be shy.

If we don’t connect this time, there is an excellent chance we will connect at a future Chinwag event. Deirdre Molloy, Chinwag’s Editor & Programme Manager who kindly invited me to speak and who has since included MSG in the aggregated news feed at the Chinwag site, has also provided me with a schedule of upcoming events – and they are well worth attending.

The next one to watch for: Chinwag Clinic: Mobile Advertising Smarts – 6th Nov 2008.

This focused, half-day collaborative consultancy is the perfect opportunity to discuss questions/issues/ideas related to all aspects of mobile advertising with experts from OgilvyOne Worldwide, Ad Infuse, 4th Screen Advertising, and Mobile Entertainment.

Also in November, please check out Chinwag Live: MoSo Rising (11th Nov 2008). The topic of the panel: The rise and rise of mobile social networking and services is upon us, but is mobile web access enough or do users seek more?

BTW: If you have an event you want to promote – the more niche the better (!) – then please send it to my attention.
