MSG On Tour: Mobile Search Opportunities & Location Based Services

Author: Peggy Anne Salz

These are the topics at the top of my speaking agenda. It’s a whirlwind week ahead, but also a clear confirmation that demand for MSG is growing.

I’m off to London (today) to speak at MIDAS, an event organized by my colleague Abraham Joseph (who also heads Device Management Forum) and then swinging through Berlin (Tuesday) to participate in Location Based Services 2008, a panel on location based services (search and advertising). In between planes and trains, I have narrowed down a new selection of mobile ad services to examine in my second round of road tests starting later this week. I have also competed my analysis of campaigns I ran on Google, Decktrade and Mo’Jiva (methodology and details are outlined in my new release white paper, Mobile advertising for newbies).

The results reveal some rather unsettling shortcomings in the mobile ad networks I tested – points I hope ad networks will acknowledge and address. (Actually, they must address them if they hope to encourage use and trust of their services.)

Please check back later in the week for the full post – and if you plan to be in London or Berlin, then let’s meet up! peggy@msearchgroove.com
